unexplained infertility

I found the news of this recent study to be very interesting. Researchers found that two very common fertility treatments for couples suffering from “unexplained fertility” – meaning couples with fertility troubles who don’t have any identifiable problems, like Craig and me – don’t really help. I took Clomid for a year to no avail, and we also did three IUIs (with Clomid) that didn’t work. Interestingly enough, our first cycle away from both Clomid and IUIs resulted in our first pregnancy. While I’m not sure the news of this study helps us in any way, it does at least make us feel like we’re not the only ones those treatments didn’t help.
