I spent a lovely day yesterday out on the Canton Cat – our friend Beth’s catamaran. We cruised out to the Bay Bridge and spent about 4 hours trolling for rockfish. I’m not a big fisherwoman, but I absolutely adore being out on the water. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day – it was sunny with blue skies and probably about 75 degrees. Within about ten minutes of getting the fishing lines in, we caught a 26″ rockfish. This photos shows Steve holding up the catch of the day. Apparently there were no other fish to be caught (by us, anyway), but a good time was had by all, with the possible exception of a couple of the passengers who got a bit seasick while we rocked in the waves.

It’s really wonderful to have a FWAB (Friend With A Boat). Thanks for taking me out, Captain Beth! I can’t wait to do it again. Hopefully Craig can join in next time as well.
