We are enjoying our new garden this spring. These viburnums are the first shrubs to flower, but I see that many others are budding and getting closer each day.

We spent much of today doing some good old-fashioned, back-breaking yard work. With all of the new beds and plants, our lawn was aching for some special attention. So, today, we loosened up the soil in all of the bare spots (we had a lot), added some fresh soil, and sprinkled some grass seed. We’ll be sure to do lots of watering over the next couple of weeks, and hopefully we’ll have a better looking lawn very soon.
